NCD Alliance Malawi- WHO WE ARE
The Non-communicable diseases Alliance Malawi (NCDAMW) was established in 2016. Born from the collaborative efforts of organizations, individuals living with NCDs and other advocates, the NCDAMW aims to create a united front against these chronic conditions. This alliance understands that NCDs are not isolated issue a synergistic approach therefore is paramount to effectively address NCDs.
As a low-income African nation, Malawi faces significant challenges in combating NCDs. Rising rates of these diseases place a heavy burden on individuals and healthcare systems. The NCDAMW, recognizing these challenges and the needs of people living with NCDs (PLWNCDs), stands as a pillar of hope.

Supported by the Secretariat, currently housed within the Women's Coalition Against Cancer (WOCACA) one of alliance active member.
The NCDAMW's reach extends beyond national borders. Its membership in national and international networks, including the Global Non-Communicable Diseases Alliance (NCD Alliance), enhancing collaboration and knowledge sharing, equipping the Alliance with valuable resources with regional and a global perspective.
By striving to unite various voices and forging strategic partnerships, the NCDAMW is playing an important role in addressing the growing NCDs challenge in Malawi. The alliance’s dedicated efforts offer hope for a future where all Malawians, regardless of their health status, can enjoy a healthier and more fulfilling life free from NCDs.
